Mercato invites you to our very first Mushroom foraging tour in the Adelaide Hills with local expert Kate Grigg.
Kate Grigg is no stranger to Foraging and identifying Flora having spent over 20 years as a Qualified Horticulturalist and Conservationist.
Kate is the go-to person for many chefs throughout Australia, professional foragers, amateur foragers and keen natureteers who want accurate identification of plants and fungi they have found. She regularly shares her knowledge by taking groups out into the countryside for a hands on day of identification and foraging.
When: Saturday 20th May 10am start
Where: Meet at mercato at 10am
Time: 10am - 2pm, bus will depart at 10:15am
What's included: A 2-hour guided tour at a secret location in the Adelaide Hills learning about all the different types of mushrooms that grow freely and in abundance followed by a 2-course mushroom themed lunch with a glass of Italian wine to finish!
Price: $85 per person (includes bus transfer to the hills from Mercato)
