The Della Seta family have owned this estate since the end of the 19th century – but superior wine has been made here for much longer. Situated at Gracciano-Montepulciano, this is the recognized ultimate section of the appellation, with its perfect combo of altitude, aspect and soil. The incredible vine-age at Della Seta is the result of their long and deliberate propagation of the areas own clone of Sangiovese - Prugnolo Gentile.

Tasting note:

Rosso is the ‘second’ wine of renowned Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. Of newer plantings, less concentrated wine and shorter aging time. Aromas are of raisin, chocolate and prune and flavours are textured and vigorous with the Tuscan savoury finish.

Production: Fermentation on the skins in steel vats for 10-12 days, maturation part in French oak tonneaux and part in cement vats for 6 months
