Producer: Primo Estate

Pronunciation: ‘Gar-gan-ega’

Region: Veneto, Italy

Zone: IGT of Soave, Veneto

Producer Info:

Primo & Co The Venetian Garganega is made by Joe Grilli in Northen Italy’s Veneto region. Joe loves returning to his Italian roots to blend his modern Australian winemaking techniques with the best Italian grape growing traditions.

Tasting note: The nose is delicately perfumed and floral while the palate has vibrant acid and a deliciously dry minerality and a subtle texture. This is a light, very drinkable style.

Growing System: Guyot

Production: Joe says ‘We used the same winemaking techniques that make our La Biondina Colombard: long, slow, cold fermentation with our selected yeast strain which we bring over from Australia, then pristine handling of the final wine before early bottling under a screw capped bottle (it is illegal for a screw cap wine to carry the Soave denomination, hence The Venetian is a Bianco Veneto).
